red lipstick
i went to church today with red lipstick on and bangs in full force. i'm the primary pianist and i also babysit a lot of those kids during the week, so i know most of them pretty well. after church i had a conversation with a particular 8 year old boy that went something like this:
boy: lauren, why do you look like that?
lauren: look like what?
boy: like...your face. how do you get it to look like that?
lauren: *trying not to laugh* well...it's a process.
boy: well...how long does it take you to look like that?
lauren: not too long i guess. i usually wake up in the morning looking like this.
boy: so you mean that you have really red lips like that all the time?
lauren: yeah!
boy: oh.....*walks away*
i had a lot of comments on my red lips today, but they were mostly from the kids. they just could not figure out how it was doing that. as i was sitting with the sunbeams during sharing time, they were all so perplexed with what was on my lips, so i took a piece of paper and kissed it leaving a huge (because of my luscious lips) kiss mark. *cue the screams from the 4 year old girls*. they thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. so, since the little girls loveeee it, i'm totally wearing it again next sunday.
